The Far From Here Comedy Festival is an international celebration of the community, friendship and laughter found online during the pandemic. Featuring comics from around the world who all found an outlet with online comedy to keep people laughing when they needed it most.

Gala Headliner Jackie Kashian

Jackie Kashian has been doing standup for over 35 years. Last seen on the Late Late Show with James Corden, her new Special (and album of the same title) Stay-Kashian was #1 on Amazon, iTunes and debuted #3 on Billboard’s Comedy Chart. She has over 75 million listens on Spotify and Pandora. She has two podcasts; The Dork Forest (since 2006) where she talks with people about what they love to do, think about and collect. She also has a podcast with Laurie Kilmartin where they talk about the thing they both love to do and think about… standup comedy. It is called The Jackie and Laurie Show.

Clif Knight

Clif Knight is a Guyanese born comedian based in Toronto, Ontario.
A unique observational style coupled with vibrant storytelling has garnered him featured spots at Absolute Comedy and Yuk Yuks in Ontario as well as the Comedy Nest in Montreal and the Comedy Studio in Boston.
In 2018 he premiered his one man show "Clif Knight Sucks!" At the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.
In addition to all this, he regularly hosts events in and around Toronto.

Marc Hallworth

​Marc Hallworth has been described as "too poor for how happy he is." He is a rostered comedian with Yuk Yuk's, is an improv tournament champion at both the TheatreSports Micetro and Toronto Beerprov, and his sketch troupe Vest of Friends are the winners of the Best-of-the-Fest Award at both the Toronto and Montreal SketchFests. With material that's not out to offend, his few goofy ideas and personal anecdotes all culminate towards some real optimism!

Rush Kazi

Rush Kazi is a Montreal-born, Toronto-based comic, non-binary, bipedal, carbon-based stand-up, sketch, and musical comic.
Second City trained and featured on JFL42, Toronto Fringe Festival, both Toronto and Montreal SketchFests, Gardencity Festival, Toronto's SheDot Festival, Leelfest and more. Rush produces the always sold out hit shows Asian Comedy All-Stars, MuJew (A Muslim and Jewish comedy showcase), Gaysian Comedy All-Stars (the world’s FIRST all-Queer, all-Asian comedy showcase), Comedy Mixtape (Toronto’s longest running musical comedy show), and since 2012, has run the open mic, Laughter Luau in Toronto and many more events. They debuted their comedy album About Time April 2022 and and their special debuted on Amazon and OutTV on the same day.

We’re bringing the accessibility and safety of Zoom to an in-person show by:
  - Removing physical barriers for comedians and attendees with a fully accessible venue
  - Selecting comedians who represent a diverse range of identities and providing a safe space to share stories
  - Providing options for a global audience to attend online
